Job Description

Onsite Rental Group PTY Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Team Leader in our Mechanical Workshop located in Derrimut VIC, under the department of Melbourne West.

As the Team Leader - Mechanical Workshop, you will be responsible for leading a team of mechanical technicians in delivering high-quality service and maintenance of equipment. Your main tasks will include:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the mechanical workshop
  • technical guidance and support to the team
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Coordinating work schedules and assignments for workshop staff
  • Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback to team members
  • Participating in recruitment and training activities for new workshop staff
  • Maintaining inventory levels and ordering necessary parts and supplies
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless workflow and customer satisfaction
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing best practices

Along with sound mechanical knowledge and diagnostic skills, our ideal candidate will have:

  • A mechanical trade qualification
  • Experience in leading teams (either directly or indirectly) and managing service demand
  • Sound planning, organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to problem solve and be flexible
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage cost in line with budgets
